Sebago have brought out a fantastic new range of Men’s products for the Autumn! They are out to say that ‘we are not just a boat shoe brand! and with the trend for everything preppy and old school, think American high school, think Weezer’s video for buddy holly etc, they are cashing in on the look with their ranges of penny loafers, boat shoes and desert boots. I found this great website to illustrate the look with buck skin shoes, espadrilles and penny loafers: http://streetetiquette.com/

We have more deliveries of Lelli kelly Shoes on the way which will be in next week. There are still good stocks of some of the popular styles but we may be missing the odd size. We have also just had a new style delivered today – School Dolly Cross LK9802.
This is a black leather version of the zig zag velcro style that we have in patent with the flowers on. The sizes delivered are 31-35 which is approximately a 12 to a 2 1/2 so its one of the ones that is available in the larger sizes which sometimes we miss.
The adverts will be on the telly up until the 27th of August so I am trying to tailor repeats right through until the first week of September. After that we will probably keep the two Lelli Kelly three strap School Dolly Shoes in stock as a regular part of the range throughout the back end of this year up to Christmas.
This is the new leather shoe: School Dolly Cross, that was delivered today

Padders shoes are becoming the shoe of choice for the growing army of comfort shoe shoppers. The origins of Padders go right back to 1914 when the Groocock family first started to makee shoes in their factory in Nothamptonshire. In fact when I first entered the shoe buisness in 1979, T Groocock was a major supplier of Men’s shoes to Timpson Shoes where I worked as well as many other multiples around at the time. The huge British Shoe Corporation which was based in Braunstone in Leicestershire was also a large customer through its hundreds of shoe stores such as Freeman, Hardy, Willis, Saxone and Dolcis stores. Tommy Groocock as he was known was still a face in the early 90′s when I was with Barratts shoes and the company was making men’s comfort shoes, although not branded Padders Shoes at that time.
The Padders brand was developed as a recession beater really. The factory in Northamptonshire could no longer compete with Italy and Portugal making cheaper more accessible shoes because of the higher cost of labour in the UK. This saw a sharp reduction in the number of UK order coming their way. The answer? start a brand!
It was obvious really, make the same great comfort shoes but throw some money in to marketing, sell to smaller shops but up the stakes in terms of extra comfort, boxes, ticketing and advertisng, so instead of trying to compete with cheaper imports, Padders was born and became successful. The shoe trade is littered with great British shoe factories who simply sat back and let imports kill them, Tommy Groocock was not going to let that happen, so hats off to him, he saved his factory and a load of jobs at the same time!
Padders Shoes Today:
Well, with nearly 100 years of manufacturing experience behind them the factory is selling Men’s and Ladies Padders, not just comfort shoes but slippers and wellingtons as well! Padders have spent a lot of money, effort and time researching in to the best way to bring lightweight, comfortable shoes to the market and have succeeded in spades. They developed the dual fit system with a removable insole and foot bed for wide fit styles so that they will suit all kinds of feet in different width fittings while at the same time making room for any inner soles that the wearer may have to wear if they have dodgy feet or buinions!
Padders Shoes are really the last word in comfort as they have extra toe depth allowing the toes to ‘breath’ within the shoe which aids natural wicking of moisture away from the foot ensuring that you get the most comfortable wear from your shoes. The shoes have foam padding which gives protection in all the key areas. All Padders footwear is made from high quality leather that ensures durability, the best material for allowing the feet nautural comfort in all conditions.
The full range of Padders shoes is available from Shoes.co.uk.

Each of the straps has a different finish. There is a self embroidered strap which comes attached to the shoe by two reverse velcro fastenings either side of the shoe. Hi There,
Well its been a long and stressful few days but the new www.Shoes.co.uk website has finally been launched.
It all started back in December 2009 when our original developers, Rowlinson Cooper told us about a grant from Nesta, the Science and Technology Awards. The upshot was we were given a grant to sepnd on Creative Development as long as we used a Manchester based company. We couldn’t use our original design company, so after a long search, which Nesta helped with we interviewed three companies and chose Creative Spark in Manchester to do the design for us.
They had just done Peter Kay’s website so we reckoned they would be good enough for us!
